We recently visited Canada for the who knows how many-th time. While there, of course, we saw all our wonderful friends from Canada and OLP related adventures, and saw the band performing on 4 nights. These were OLP shows 14-17 for me. Some of the near 2500 pictures I took are available in the Galleries section of the site. I’m also thinking of integrating video onto the site as well, just have to figure that one out.

Almost a four-year term to a Presidency.

be a man, in his 40’s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with
persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal….the prophecy says
that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace,
and when he is in power, will destroy everything .

Is it OBAMA??

I STRONGLY URGE each one of you to post this as many times as

As I was listening to a news program last night, I watched in horror as Barack Obama made the statement with pride. . .’we are no longer a Christian nation; we are now a nation of Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, . . As with so many other statements I’ve heard him (and his wife) make, I never thought I’d see the day that I’d hear something like that from a presidential candidate in this nation. To think our forefathers fought and died for the right for our nation to be a Christian nation–and to have this man say with pride that we are no longer that. How far this nation has come from what our founding fathers intended it to be.

I hope that each of you will do what I’m doing now–send your concerns, written simply and sincerely, to the Christians on your email list.

With God’s help, and He is still in control of this nation an d all else, we can show this man and the world in November that we are, indeed, still a Christian nation!

Please pray for our nation!

I received an e-mail like this not too long ago, and a friend also posted it as a bulletin today. It irritates me when Biblical text is taken out of context and put out for the world, most of whom will never take the time to verify what it says. It’s interesting to note that the book of Revelations mentions nothing of the Antichrist being of Muslim descent. It also makes no reference to the Antichrist’s age. It does, however, state that the Antichrist will deny that Jesus has ever come in the flesh. You’ll find similar text within 1 John and 2 John.

The Bible was also written on the Roman Calendar, which runs shorter than the modern Gregorian Calendar that we use today. 10 days shorter, to be exact. That runs the forty and two months mentioned in Revelations even shorter than the 4 year (48 month) presidency.

Barack Obama’s father was, of course, raised Muslim. However, later became atheist. His stepfather, also had no religous preference. Obama returned stateside and joined a church that spent a great deal of its early years trying to overturn the teachings of radical Muslims who were teaching Blacks that they could not be Black and Christian.

Finally, someone please show me where it states that the United States were founded as a Christian nation. I have never, ever seen that stated within any legal document governing our land or setting forth the establishment of it. I thought it was founded by those escaping religious persecution in their own countries. Additionally, the Constitution of the United States guarantees religious freedom.

I believe whole heartedly in God and Jesus Christ, as my Lord and Savior, but I am increasingly frustrated that people don’t take the time to research what they read. People’s blind ignorance to e-mails and bulletins such as the one below don’t make us better Christians or better citizens. It just makes us better fools.

On a brighter note, I did get married last October and everything went very well. Sooz made it over from England and spent most of the week with us. Josh and Kym flew out from California and had a hellacious time getting here. Nikki, her mom, and Melissa drove down from New Jersey to join in as well. It was nice to have my closest friends and family there for a very important event in my life. Thank you all for being part of it.

Upon returning from our honeymoon, I began my assignment as the overnight assistant manager at my store. It was my third time working nights and I really enjoyed myself. I was not looking forward to it, but the staff I was in charge of was amazing. They worked miracles nightly to recover and stock the store. Heather, of course, hated me being on nights and I hated not being right there with her for the first 8 months of our marriage. We survived, and appreciate our quiet evenings together or just being in the same house. Unfortunately, for Heather, I refuse to share the bed.

Saturday will be my 10 year high school reunion. I can not believe how fast a decade went by. It’s mind blowing. I am very excited to see a lot of people I haven’t in the 4 years I’ve been gone from Bristol. I think it will be a great time.

4 years that I have been living in Jefferson City. I miss home sometimes, but I really like it here. It has become my home and I enjoy living here. It’s funny how you end up in places you didn’t imagine you would be in.
